First Time Homebuyer tax credit extended!
Posted by: Greg Fischer Post date: November 10th, 2009If you are buying your first home in New Hampshire and are worried about missing the $8000 tax credit – you’re in luck. The deadline for closing on your new home has been extended until June 30 2010.
BUT you need to have a purchase and sale contract signed before the end of April 2010 to qualify. That sounds like a lot of time, but it goes quickly.
So, if you were thinking that this was your year – prices are still very affordable, rates are still very low, and oh yes, up to $8000 in tax credit if you take the plunge now – you’re not too late. Great mortgage options for first time buyers do still exist, including no money down fixed rate mortgages if you qualify.
So get pre-qualifed today. Find a great Realtor (I know a few – just ask) and tell them what your dream house looks like, and then see what’s out there.
And tell your friends at work “My mortgage guy says the tax credit was extended, so you should talk to him. Is it OK if I have Greg give you a call?
